How to solve: Restful Jersey Exception: The ResourceConfig instance does not contain any root resource classes.. Please see server.log for more details. Command deploy failed

If you got the following exception of your Jersey application:

Error occurred during deployment: Exception while loading the app : java.lang.IllegalStateException: ContainerBase.addChild: start: org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: com.sun.jersey.api.container.ContainerException: The ResourceConfig instance does not contain any root resource classes.. Please see server.log for more details. Command deploy failed.

One possible solution is to check your web.xml
<init-param>
  <param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.property.packages</param-name>
  <param-value>ca.i88.it.myapp</param-value>
</init-param>

You need to make sure that ca.i88.it.myapp above is not empty and it is the right folder of your restful jersey classes.
