How to upgrade MySQL in Linux such as Fedora with Yum which is faster and convenient

Using Fedora as example but similar for other Linux:

Install MySQL Yum Repository

shell> sudo yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo='mysql*-community*' list available

Then choose the package you want to install/upgrade, such as:

shell> sudo yum -y install mysql-community-client

Finally we can check the version:

$ mysql --version
mysql  Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.9, for Linux (x86_64) using  EditLine wrapper

$ mysqldump --version mysqldump  Ver 10.13 Distrib 5.7.9, for Linux (x86_64)
