Your ask questions to gather as much information about the role, the qualifications needed, and to demonstrate that you have the skills and experience for what they need and that you are interested in the opportunity.
  • What does the candidate you are looking for need to be successful in this role?
  • What are the top 3 things you are looking for in a candidate? “Great – that is who I am and here are some examples of my experience which highlight those characteristics.”
  • What are the biggest challenges I will face in this role?
  • What has been missing in the candidates you have seen so far?
  • What is your management style?
  • If I were to exceed your expectations, what would I have to do?
  • Ask the person who is interviewing you: How long have you been at the company? Who do you report to? What are your biggest challenges?
  • Tell me about the corporate culture.
  • To whom does this role report?
  • What are the short/long term goals for this department and how do they relate to the company as a whole? (More for a Permanent Opportunity)
  • What does the organization stand for? Core Values? (More for a Permanent Opportunity)
  • You should communicate at the end of the interview if you are interested and ask what the next steps will be.
