How to enable Transport Layer Security (TLS)

You must enable TLS to access online services securely. Users are encouraged to upgrade to TLS 1.2. See instructions below.


Chrome (Windows, Linux, Mac)
Enabling TLS
  • Chrome uses TLS encryption by default and there is no setting to enable.


Internet Explorer
Enabling TLS
  • Select Tools from the browser menu bar.
  • Select Internet Options.
  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Scroll down to Security section.
  • Check Use TLS 1.2.
  • Select OK.
  • Close your browser for the new settings to take effect.

Firefox
Enabling TLS
  • Firefox uses TLS encryption by default and there is no setting to enable.

Safari (Windows, Mac)
Enabling TLS
  • Safari uses TLS encryption by default and there is no setting to enable.
