Configure default password policies on Linux

a. Run the following command to set the password policy to allow a minimum of 3 out of
the 4 character sets and to not all the previous 8 passwords to be used:
authconfig -- passminclass=3 -- passmaxrepeat=8
b. Open /etc/login.defs
i. Configure minimum password length of 8 by setting PASS_MIN_LEN to 8
